Whether you are leading writing assessment across a trust, looking for external validation in school, or supporting Year 6 teachers with final judgements, Pobble Moderation Services offer practical, expert-led support to help teams feel clearer, more confident and more consistent.

Writing assessment strategy call for trust leaders

For Directors of Education, trust and school English leads, trust and school assessment leads, and school improvement leaders looking to strengthen consistency across schools.

A focused 60-minute strategic conversation to help trust leaders step back, review how writing assessment is working across their schools, and identify where greater clarity, consistency and confidence may be needed.

Writing assessment is one of the most important and often most professionally complex areas of primary education. For MATs, the challenge is rarely effort. It is trust-wide consistency, alignment and confidence.

External validation sessions

For teachers, English leads, assessment leads, school leaders and MATs looking for expert-led moderation that builds confidence, secures judgements and strengthens shared standards.

A structured, collaborative moderation experience designed to help teachers and leaders feel more confident in the accuracy of writing assessment judgements.

These sessions are positive, purposeful and grounded in professional discussion. They help schools move beyond uncertainty by creating space to review evidence carefully, celebrate strong practice and agree clear next steps.

Who leads Pobble Moderation Services?

Introducing Head of Moderation and Assessment, Laura

I lead Pobble's moderation services, working with individual schools and multi-academy trusts to make writing assessment feel consistent, purposeful and genuinely useful. My background is in school leadership and primary school improvement, so I understand what's at stake when moderation doesn't quite land.

Laura (3)
"Thank you so much for yesterday. Both teachers came away from the moderation feeling empowered, proud of themselves and like they had had a fantastic professional development opportunity. The way you and the team managed the moderation was very much appreciated, and I would like to thank you for that."
