Your school has started to use Pobble: a safe, global writing platform. Here, you learn more about what Pobble is, and how it might impact your child and your family.
Pobble is an educational platform, designed by and for teachers to help improve children’s writing.
Every week, your child's teacher will select “published authors”. Their work will be published on Pobble and shared with the school community and with a global audience.
We ask you to join your child on this learning journey.
Teachers might use Pobble in many ways. If you’d like to know how Pobble is used in the classroom, please have a look at our teacher website.
Pobble improves engagement and attainment. To achieve this, we implement teaching strategies that have a proven effect.
Every day, thousands of teachers use Pobble with their class. Reading another child's work might spark inspiration. Self and peer assessment support learning. An authentic audience provides a purpose and builds self-esteem. Reliable teacher assessment improves feedback. Pobble supports this.
In schools that we work with, attainment improves, children are more excited about learning and parents feel better connected to their child’s learning journey.
Jack* never comes home from school more excited then when his work is just published on Pobble!
Learning has a much more positive impact if it catches the attention of the pupil. As a parent, this is just great to experience.
Our standards in writing have increased, not only attainment but the depth, creativity and engagement. It fills me with great pride to see both the school and Pobble giving so much inspiration to children and families.
Pupils know how to draft and edit their work and some of it is published online, giving them an added incentive to write for a purpose.

We're parents ourselves. If you're like us, you will want to get involved in your child's learning journey. At this point, you might be wondering how.
When your school starts using Pobble, you will receive an email to ask whether you want your child to participate. If you consent, two things happen:
your teacher can publish their work on Pobble,
your child will get their own Pobble pupil account.
Next, you can sign up for your own Pobble account. It will be linked to your child's.
When your child's work is published on Pobble, they will be very excited. You will receive an email when this happens. Remember to leave a comment, because yours are the most important of all!
With their pupil account your child can leave comments on other children's work. You could access Pobble together at home. Here are some tips on how to leave a great comment.
If you're looking for more ways to get your child excited about writing, keep an eye out for our newsletter. It's filled with fun, educational ideas and information.
Over the years, parents have asked us many questions, and rightly so. Here are some of the most common ones. For any others, don't hesitate to contact us on email@example.com.
No. You and your child remain the owners of any pieces of work shared on Pobble. Under our terms we are granted the sole license to use the work (this means there can't be another third-party licensee). This is needed because Pobble is a paid-for service: this way it's clearly defined that we can use content shared on the platform in a commercial context. This is specified in section 9 of our Terms.
No. Most schools pay to use Pobble, allowing us to keep the platform entirely free from advertisements.
No. We have designed Pobble to encourage celebration, not competition. We're on a mission to build an inclusive platform that benefits of all levels and abilities. We also provide teacher training and teaching materials to ensure the platform is used in the right way.
Yes. It's very easy to remove any content (work, or comments) that you would prefer not to be on there.
You might decide you don't want your child to participate in Pobble. In that case, decline permission when you are invited. However, you might want to give it a try as you can always revoke permission on your Pobble profile. If all else fails, contact your class teacher or get in touch directly with us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
